IPL 2018, KKR v SRH: Fantasy picks

The final hurdle is here. The team that wins this encounter will travel to Mumbai and will face Chennai Super Kings in the final.

Sunrisers Hyderabad comparatively will have high pressure as they are coming off from four consecutive loss while Kolkata is coming off from consecutive wins and in their last encounter, Kolkata won convincingly. Who will win today?

Safe Pick

Andre Russell
Last match crickingduels fantasy points 119

No wonder why Kolkata retained him for this year’s IPL. One of the contenders for MVP, Russell will look into providing another top-notch performance at Edens.

Rashid Khan
Last match crickingduels fantasy points 100

No batsman in this world has picked up Rashid Khan’s variations. He is the match-winner for the team.

Hot Pick

Dinesh Karthik
Last match crickingduels fantasy points 107

The KKR captain has raised his game to the next level in recent matches. Be it chasing or taking the team to a good total, Karthik has done extraordinarily well.

Tricky Pick

Shakib- Al-Hasan
Last match crickingduels fantasy points: 18

Despite being a regular pick in the team, Hasan is having a poor run in this year’s IPL. With the bat, his strike-rate is lower than it was in the previous years and with the ball he has gone more than ten runs per over.

The darkhorse

Prasidh Krishna
Last match crickingduels fantasy points: 36

The youngster has done well, and now he leads the bowling attack for KKR. He rarely misses his line and length and keeps it straight and simple. Probably, one of the best finds in this year’s IPL.

IPL 2018, Qualifier 1, CSK v SRH: Fantasy tips

When: Qualifier 1 – May 22nd, 7 PM IST
Where: Wankhede, Mumbai
Conditions: Weather is clear, a High scoring game is on the cards.

TEAM NEWS:
Chennai Super Kings will try to stick to the same team that played most of the games. Dhoni doesn’t love to change too many things to the side, so expect the same XI that won most of the matches.

From the last match, Shane Watson might come in for Faf du Plessis, other than that there might not be more changes to the team.

For Hyderabad, Yusuf Pathan will come back to the team and Williamson might not bring Hales in, but stick with Carlos Brathwaite to add an option for bowling.

PROBABLE XI: Shikhar Dhawan, Shreevats Goswami (wk), Kane Williamson (c), Manish Pandey, Carlos Brathwaite, Shakib Al Hasan, Yusuf Pathan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Siddarth Kaul, Rashid Khan, Sandeep Sharma

PROBABLE XI: Shane Watson, Ambati Rayudu, Suresh Raina, MS Dhoni (c & wk), Sam Billings/Faf du Plessis, Ravindra Jadeja, Dwayne Bravo, Harbhajan Singh, Deepak Chahar, Lungi Ngidi, Shardul Thakur

IPL 2018, CSK v DD: Fantasy picks

Considering the fact that this match is not going to affect the playoffs scenario, today probably is the day where all the teams can relax a bit. In the result few matches, we have seen a lot happening, and suddenly, there are six teams fighting for two places for the playoffs.

Safe Pick

Ambati Rayudu
Last match crickingduels fantasy points: 230

The CSK opener is one of the consistent batters in this tournament, and his hundred against SRH, one of the best bowling side, tells you how good is his form.

Rishabh Pant
Last match crickingduels fantasy points: 149

Pant’s cricket book of shots is excellent to watch and seems like there are far too many shots on his book as he keeps scoring all around the park.

HOT PICK:

Deepak Chahar
Last match crickingduels fantasy points: 60

The CSK pacer is back into the team after the injury and straightaway he is on the money.

TRICKY PICK:

Harbhajan Singh
Last match crickingduels fantasy points: 2

His lacklustre performances in the recent games left Dhoni scratching his heads.

The Darkhorse

Trent Boult
Last match crickingduels fantasy points: 36

The Kiwi pacer leak runs but picks up important wickets as well.

IPL 2018,KKR v RR: Fantasy picks

This match is going to be crucial not only for KKR and RR but also for the other teams that rely on Net Run Rate and the results of the other teams. A loss here will push one of the teams backwards, and the other team will sit pretty on the table. With RCB winning by a big margin yesterday, the tournament is still wide open. Here are my picks for today.

Safe Pick

Jos Buttler
Last match crickingduels fantasy points: 198

The main reason why Rajasthan is winning right now. After being promoted as the opener, the England superstar has scored five consecutive fifties.

Hot pick

Sunil Narine
Last match crickingduels fantasy points: 185

He powered KKR to a thumping win against Punjab the other night. KKR will need similar knocks from the Windies all-rounder to keep them in the hunt.

The Australian’s lacklustre form in IPL continued even in the last match. He consistently struggled against the deliveries that came back in.

Last match crickingduels fantasy points 55

The England all-rounder provided a great bowling display against Mumbai Indians that brought Rajasthan back into the game.

IPL 2018, RCB v KXIP: Fantasy Picks

Royal Challengers Bangalore will still look into the needle-thin possibility to qualify for the playoffs while Punjab needs to win two out of three matches to qualify safely. If Bangalore can win today, they still hold a chance and not only that, a loss for Punjab can brighten the opportunity for Mumbai Indians.

Safe Pick:

AB de Villiers
Last match crickingduels fantasy points: 174

AB de Villiers played a match-winning knock the other night, and Bangalore will be hoping that he continues to perform well.

Hot Pick:

Last match crickingduels fantasy points: 130

Rahul is in a sublime form in this tournament, and he is going to be crucial going forward.

Tricky Pick:

Chris Gayle
Last match crickingduels fantasy points: 33

The universal boss struggles to the delivery that is close to his body and the bowlers are using this trick to keep him down for the recent matches.

The darkhorse:

Umesh Yadav
Last match crickingduels fantasy points: -1

The seamer’s ability swing the ball both ways is powerful, and no wonder if he can keep both the openers quite at the start.

IPL 2018, MI v RR: Fantasy picks

A must-win game for both the sides. No wonder this match is going to be a thriller. Both the teams are coming off a win and both will be looking to carry this momentum going forward. More than Royals, Mumbai looks like a balanced team now.

Safe pick:

Suryakumar Yadav
Last match crickingduels fantasy points: 141

Probably, a regular pick in the fantasy team. He looks in great touch and handles the pressure well at the top. He should fire today as well.

Hot Pick:

Ishan Kishan
Last match crickingduels fantasy points: 172

The youngster smacked one of the fastest fifties the other night. After being dismissed by ducks in the previous matches, it makes this knock even more special.

Tricky Pick:

Rohit Sharma
Last match crickingduels fantasy points: 59

The Mumbai Captain visibly struggled to time the ball to perfection. This is the major concern for Mumbai team right now.

The darkhorse:

K Gowtham
Last match crickingduels fantasy points: 29

The all-rounder bowls well with the new match, smacks important runs in the end. Someone who is making heads turn with his performances.

IPL 2018, KKR v MI: Fantasy picks

This is going to be the start of the crucial matches as we get closer to the playoffs. With CSK and SRH are pretty on top, the other teams are hanging in to get to that third and fourth spot which, for almost every single match is changing. The first of the four do-or-die encounters for Mumbai Indians which they don’t afford to lose. For sure, the winner of this match is going to be the team that handles the pressure very well.

SAFE PICK:

Sunil Narine
Last match crickingduels fantasy points: 50

A team player who loves to contribute in a way or two. Expect him to set Rohit Sharma up this time as well.

Suryakumar Yadav

Chris Lynn

The Mumbai bowlers set him up with the short ball the other night. Expect them to do the same here as well.

The darkhorse

Krunal Pandya
Last match crickingduels fantasy points: 61

Pandya’s contribution to the team will be crucial today. As the team is dependent on both Hardik and Krunal, they must step up to perform well today.

IPL 2018, KXIP v RR: Fantasy power players

1. Marcus Stoinis (Kings XI Punjab)

Stoinis recorded 23 off 16 not out including two boundaries and one maximum with the bat and conceded six off his only over with the ball in Sunday’s IPL victory over the Rajasthan Royals.

Fantasy Analysis

While he bowled just one dot ball, Stoinis was able to keep the ball inside the rope and his medium-pace bowling helped considerably as Kings XI were able to hold the Royals to just 152. With the bat, Stoinis and Lokesh Rahul were able to partner for 68 runs on the fifth wicket in fewer than six overs to successfully chase down the reasonable target with eight balls to spare, despite a steadily creeping required run rate prior to Stoinis’ introduction. In four matches this season, he’s made out just once while scoring 85 runs at a strike rate of 154.54.

2. Lokesh Rahul (Kings XI Punjab)

Rahul top-scored with 84 off 54 not out including seven boundaries and three maximums in Sunday’s IPL victory over the Rajasthan Royals.

Fantasy Analysis

After his opposing wicketkeeper, Jos Buttler opened with a half-century for the Royals, Rahul started a little slowly, needing 44 balls to reach his half-century-his third of the tournament. However, with the required run rate creeping up, Rahul turned on the jets, scoring 30 runs off his last 10 balls to ace the chase with eight balls to spare. Rahul is now fourth on the orange cap rankings on 376 runs and is 47 runs behind Ambati Rayudu with an innings in hand and hasn’t scored fewer than 18 runs in a match thus far this tournament.

3. Mujeeb Ur Rahman (Kings XI Punjab)

Ur Rahman was named Man of the Match after taking three for 27 off four overs in Sunday’s IPL victory over the Rajasthan Royals.

Fantasy Analysis

The Afghani teenager has been excellent throughout the tournament and Sunday was his best performance of the bunch, turning in career-best figures of three for 27, has never taken more than two wickets in a T20 prior to the proceedings. He’s now taken 12 wickets at an average of 20.00 with a sparkling economy of 6.85, the second-best economy of anyone who’s bowled at least 10 overs this tournament.

4. Jos Buttler (Rajasthan Royals)

Buttler opened with 51 off 39 including seven boundaries in Sunday’s IPL defeat to Kings XI Punjab.

Fantasy Analysis

After a rough start to the tournament, Buttler is rounding into form with Sunday giving him back-to-back half-centuries for the fledgeling Royals. Buttler’s move up the order from No. 5 to opening proved an inspired move as the Royals batting order seems solid from top-to-bottom; however, the results just haven’t been there, with Sunday’s defeat dropping them to the bottom of the table on six points through nine matches.
