IPL 2018, Final: CSK v SRH fantasy picks

The final showdown is here. The last match of this year’s IPL and two of the best teams will lock horns to lift the trophy. It is not going to be easy after all. CSK has beaten SRH in all their three previous meetings in this year so far and SRH will be hoping to bounce back.

Kane Williamson as a captain took a courageous decision to make changes to his team the other night. His captaincy needs a special mention as well but the night well and truly belonged to Rashid Khan. For CSK, it is wonderful that all their players have won at least one match for the team. Looking at the form of both the teams, CSK is stronger but as said, it is not going to be easy after all.

Safe Pick

Rashid Khan
Last match crickingduels fantasy points 220

No wonders here. Expect more fireworks from him in the all-important finale against Chennai Super Kings on Sunday.

Hot pick

Lungi Ngidi
Last match crickingduels fantasy points 55

The South African pacer has used the conditions well so far. He by far is the best bowler the Chennai Super Kings needed.

Tricky Pick

Shane Watson
Last match crickingduels fantasy points 9

Dhoni’s bowling options are too strong that he didn’t have to use Watson in his recent games. The CSK opener is finding hard to get his timing right as well.

The darkhorse

Bhuvneshwar Kumar
Last match crickingduels fantasy points 13

The Indian frontline bowler is taken for a lot in his recent games and for Sunrisers, which is termed as the best bowling team, they need Bhuvneshwar Kumar to bounce back.

IPL 2018, KKR v SRH: Fantasy picks

The final hurdle is here. The team that wins this encounter will travel to Mumbai and will face Chennai Super Kings in the final.

Sunrisers Hyderabad comparatively will have high pressure as they are coming off from four consecutive loss while Kolkata is coming off from consecutive wins and in their last encounter, Kolkata won convincingly. Who will win today?

Safe Pick

Andre Russell
Last match crickingduels fantasy points 119

No wonder why Kolkata retained him for this year’s IPL. One of the contenders for MVP, Russell will look into providing another top-notch performance at Edens.

Rashid Khan
Last match crickingduels fantasy points 100

No batsman in this world has picked up Rashid Khan’s variations. He is the match-winner for the team.

Hot Pick

Dinesh Karthik
Last match crickingduels fantasy points 107

The KKR captain has raised his game to the next level in recent matches. Be it chasing or taking the team to a good total, Karthik has done extraordinarily well.

Tricky Pick

Shakib- Al-Hasan
Last match crickingduels fantasy points: 18

Despite being a regular pick in the team, Hasan is having a poor run in this year’s IPL. With the bat, his strike-rate is lower than it was in the previous years and with the ball he has gone more than ten runs per over.

The darkhorse

Prasidh Krishna
Last match crickingduels fantasy points: 36

The youngster has done well, and now he leads the bowling attack for KKR. He rarely misses his line and length and keeps it straight and simple. Probably, one of the best finds in this year’s IPL.

Chennai Super Kings will try to stick to the same team that played most of the games. Dhoni doesn’t love to change too many things to the side, so expect the same XI that won most of the matches.

From the last match, Shane Watson might come in for Faf du Plessis, other than that there might not be more changes to the team.

For Hyderabad, Yusuf Pathan will come back to the team and Williamson might not bring Hales in, but stick with Carlos Brathwaite to add an option for bowling.

Here are the picks for today’s match:

SAFE PICK:

Deepak Chahar:
Last match crickingduels fantasy cricket points: 124

Chahar proved his ability to bat the other night. In a way, he is going to add CSK the batting depth.

Shikhar Dhawan
Last match crickingduels fantasy cricket points: 100

The opener will be the most important player for the team. Hyderabad will rely majorly on him for a great start.

HOT PICK:

Suresh Raina
Last match crickingduels fantasy cricket points: 135

Raina has found his found form at the right time for CSK. Against a bowling attack like Hyderabad, he will be crucial.

TRICKY PICK:

Shakib Al Hasan
Last match crickingduels fantasy cricket points: 34

The Bangladeshi all-rounder’s lacklustre form is one of the reasons why SRH’ s middle-order is vulnerable

The Darkhorse:

Ravi Jadeja
Last match crickingduels fantasy cricket points: 28

The Rajput boy’s four overs will be vital for both the teams as they can make a difference. It can go either way.

IPL 2018, DD v MI: Fantasy Analysis

1.Rishabh Pant (Delhi Daredevils)
Pant top-scored with 64 off 44 including four boundaries and four maximums in Sunday’s IPL victory over the Mumbai Indians.

Fantasy Analysis

While this wasn’t the best tournament for the Daredevils, Pant established himself as one of the most fear-inspiring batsmen of the tournament. His half-century on Sunday was his fifth of the tournament to go with his unbeaten 128 against Sunrisers at Delhi with three of his half-centuries and his century all coming at home. He finished the tournament atop the run-scoring board with 684 at a strike rate of 173.60 and averaged 52.61 and the 20-year-old should see plenty of international opportunities avail themselves from this summer’s display.

2.Evin Lewis (Mumbai Indians)
Lewis opened with 48 off 31 including three boundaries and four maximums in Sunday’s IPL defeat to the Delhi Daredevils.

Fantasy Analysis

The powerful opener had a very up-and-down tournament, finishing with two half-centuries and six of his 13 innings went for scores of 40-plus. However, he also had five innings where he scored 10 or fewer runs including a pair of ducks. That kind of boom-or-bust approach as an opener helps set the tone for the side, but Lewis, when he gets his eye in, showed he can still be one of the most dangerous opening batsmen, as his two T20I centuries in 14 innings shows.

3.Amit Mishra (Delhi Daredevils)
Mishra toppled three for 19 off four overs in Sunday’s IPL victory over the Mumbai Indians.

Fantasy Analysis

After his best spell of the tournament on Friday, Mishra carried his excellent form into Sunday’s season finale. He bowled 13 of his 24 balls for dots, conceded a single boundary and took his first three-for of the tournament. After taking just seven wickets in his first eight innings, he took five across his last two. While Delhi finished at the bottom of the table, they were only two points back of Mumbai and RCB.

4.Sandeep Lamichhane (Delhi Daredevils)
Lamichhane snapped up three for 36 off four overs in Sunday’s IPL victory over the Mumbai Indians.

Fantasy Analysis

The Nepalese bowler, bowling in just his third official T20 match, was expensive at the start but made up for it with a knack for taking wickets. He conceded a boundary and a maximum in his first three balls, but then got the wicket of Suryakumar Yadav in the first over, setting the tone for the rest of the innings. In the 10th over, he toppled the wickets of Kieron Pollard (thanks to some outstanding fielding work from Glenn Maxwell) and then Krunal Pandya three balls later. An excellent List A bowler, the 17-year-old has an incredibly bright future ahead.

5.Ben Cutting (Mumbai Indians)
Cutting raced to 37 off 20 including two boundaries and three maximums in Sunday’s IPL defeat to the Delhi Daredevils.

Fantasy Analysis

While they faced a reasonable chase of 175, Mumbai’s batsmen just couldn’t settle into the crease, falling to five for 78 midway through the 10th over, leaving tons of runs for the Indians’ tail as a win would’ve earned them a place in the playoff. Needing nothing short of a herculean effort without any set batsmen, Cutting, a bowling allrounder, showed he can score runs in bunches, finding the rope every fourth ball and broke 30 runs in a T20 for just the 12th time in 72 matches.

IPL 2018, DD v MI fantasy picks

Being in this position is not something new for Mumbai Indians, but fortunately, they have a good run-rate means a win here can see them through unless Punjab pulls off a massive victory over CSK.

Here are the crickingduels fantasy picks

Jasprit Bumrah
Last match crickingduels fantasy points 127

Bumrah found his form at the right time for Mumbai Indians. In the do-or-die encounter, his spell will be vital.

HOT PICK
Kieron Pollard
Last match crickingduels fantasy points 124

The big man announced himself with an impressive 50 on the other night. He usually gets back to his form when the team is in a critical situation like this.

TRICKY PICK:
Glenn Maxwell
Last match crickingduels fantasy points 23

The Australian couldn’t find the form at the right time and it is one of the reasons why Delhi failed.

The Darkhorse:
Vijay Shankar
Last match crickingduels fantasy points 88

He adds those important runs in the end for Delhi and one of the best fielders in the team.

IPL 2018, RR v RCB: Fantasy tips

When: May 19, Saturday at 16:00 IST
Where: Sawai Man Singh Stadium, Jaipur
Conditions: The temperature will be on the higher side.

Team News:
In the do-or-die battle, RCB holds the upper-hand as Royals has to let go of Buttler and Stokes. Klassen and Short will be the possible replacements, but both the players couldn’t perform as expected. Whereas for RCB the inclusion of Moeen Ali has given them the much-needed balance and their last three matches they won comfortably.

TEAM PROBABLE:
RR: D’Arcy Short, Ajinkya Rahane, Sanju Samson, Heinrich Klassen, Rahul Tripathi, Stuart Binny, K Gowtham, Jofra Archer, Shreyas Gopal, Dhawal Kulkarni/Anureet Singh, Jaydev Unadkat

RCB: Parthiv Patel, Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers, Moeen Ali, Colin de Grandhomme, Mandeep Singh, Sarfraz Khan, Tim Southee, Umesh Yadav, Mohammad Siraj, Yuzvendra Chahal

IPL 2018, RR v RCB: Fantasy picks

This probably is one of the important matches of the tournament as the outcome will affect the points table. With no Buttler and Stokes, Royals is not the same team whereas, the inclusion of Moeen Ali improved RCB’s strength both with the bat and ball. This probably one of the moves Kohli should have done earlier. With bright chance to get into the playoffs, Kohli will be looking to win this match at a good run-rate so that they can get through easily and for Royals, they will be looking out for the same.

Safe Pick:

Y Chahal
Last match crickingduels fantasy points: 46

The batsmen are yet to read his variations, and that is his plus point. He grabs important scalps and cuts the run flow as well.

Hot Pick:

Moeen Ali
Last match crickingduels fantasy points: 166

The England All-rounder has provided the much-needed balance for the Bangalore side. Ali will be one of the most important players for the team as the tournament progress.

Tricky Pick:

Ajinkya Rahane
Last match crickingduels fantasy points: 13

The Royals needs their best man to perform, but just like Rohit Sharma, Rahane couldn’t find the sweet spot yet. Can he find his form at the right time for Royals?

The Darkhorse

Ish Sodhi
Last match crickingduels fantasy points: 51

The Kiwi spinner will play the key role in today’s match as AB de Villiers struggles against Sodhi.

IPL 2018, CSK v DD: Fantasy tips

When: May 18, 2018; 8 PM IST
Where: Feroz Shah Kotla, New Delhi
Conditions: Rain is on the cards

Team News:
Chennai Super Kings faced woes in the bowling, and with their main strike bowler Chahar, who came back from the injury has improved the bowling attack for the team. CSK will have a tough time controlling the Delhi batsmen. Whereas, Delhi has produced young energy more than anyone else in this IPL. The other night, we had 17 years old Abhishek Sharma smashing everyone fearlessly. So, there might not be many changes for both the teams.

PROBABLE XI:

Delhi Daredevils:
Prithvi Shaw, Jason Roy/Colin Munro, Shreyas Iyer (capt), Rishabh Pant (wk), Abhishek Sharma, Vijay Shankar, Liam Plunkett/ Junior Dala, Amit Mishra, Sandeep Lamichhane, Trent Boult, Shahbaz Nadeem/ Rahul Tewatia

Chennai Super Kings:
Shane Watson, Ambati Rayudu, Suresh Raina, MS Dhoni (capt & wk), Sam Billings, Ravindra Jadeja, Dwayne Bravo, Harbhajan Singh, Karn Sharma, Deepak Chahar/ Shardul Thakur, Lungi Ngidi

CRICKINGDUELS FANTASY PLAYING XI:

IPL 2018, CSK v DD: Fantasy picks

Considering the fact that this match is not going to affect the playoffs scenario, today probably is the day where all the teams can relax a bit. In the result few matches, we have seen a lot happening, and suddenly, there are six teams fighting for two places for the playoffs.

Safe Pick

Ambati Rayudu
Last match crickingduels fantasy points: 230

The CSK opener is one of the consistent batters in this tournament, and his hundred against SRH, one of the best bowling side, tells you how good is his form.

Rishabh Pant
Last match crickingduels fantasy points: 149

Pant’s cricket book of shots is excellent to watch and seems like there are far too many shots on his book as he keeps scoring all around the park.

HOT PICK:

Deepak Chahar
Last match crickingduels fantasy points: 60

The CSK pacer is back into the team after the injury and straightaway he is on the money.

TRICKY PICK:

Harbhajan Singh
Last match crickingduels fantasy points: 2

His lacklustre performances in the recent games left Dhoni scratching his heads.

The Darkhorse

Trent Boult
Last match crickingduels fantasy points: 36

The Kiwi pacer leak runs but picks up important wickets as well.
