Fantasy Analysis

Ahmed played a real captain’s knock for the team in an important win. The wicketkeeper-batsman came out to bat with the team needing eight runs per over and finished the job in style with a fluent unbeaten 38. It was also Ahmed’s highest score in the tournament so far.

Hussain Talat
Talat scored 44 off 35 balls with the help of one six for Pakistan in a seven-wicket win against Zimbabwe in the fourth match of the T20I Tri-Series in Harare on Wednesday.

Fantasy Analysis

Talat produced a responsible knock for Pakistan in an important win. The left-handed batsman looked in control of his innings and made a valuable contribution of 44 in the team’s victory. The most impressive aspect of Talat’s knock was his ability to rotate the strike as he scored nearly 87% of his runs with the help of running between the wickets.

Solomon Mire
Mire scored 94 off 63 with the help of six fours and six sixes for Zimbabwe in a seven-wicket defeat against Pakistan in the fourth match of the T20I Tri-Series in Harare on Wednesday.

Fantasy Analysis

Mire produced outstanding innings for Zimbabwe in a losing cause. The right-handed batsman looked in supreme tough right from the word go and scored his first half-century in the T20I format. While doing so, Mire also became the player with the highest individual score of 94 for Zimbabwe in the 20-over format.

IPL 2018 final, CSK v SRH: Players to watch out for

Gone are the 59 matches, and here we are at the end of this year’s IPL. With final just a few hours away, let’s have look at top picks from both the teams today.

Considering the pitch, Ravi Jadeja will hold the key for CSK. The Rajpoot boy did wonders with the ball the last time he met Hyderabad. Expect the same from him today as well.

Rashid Khan:

No matter what and where he plays, he is the match winner. He is just three wickets away from the purple cap as well. Chennai will look to play him out rather than trying to do anything worse.

Kane Williamson:

Williamson must play the anchor role today, and others must play around him. If he doesn’t score for the team, it is easy to bundle out Hyderabad cheaply. In a final like this, he must lead his team from the front.

Ambati Rayudu:

Nobody in the CSK line-up knows Wankhede better than Rayudu. He was one of the stars for Mumbai Indians all these years. Rayudu’s form in the recent games wasn’t good as well. Today might be his day.

Suresh Raina:

Raina is the major contributor for CSK all these years, and he does have a good record in the final. Raina will be looking to stay there and finish the game for CSK as well.

IPL 2018, DD v MI: Fantasy Analysis

1.Rishabh Pant (Delhi Daredevils)
Pant top-scored with 64 off 44 including four boundaries and four maximums in Sunday’s IPL victory over the Mumbai Indians.

Fantasy Analysis

While this wasn’t the best tournament for the Daredevils, Pant established himself as one of the most fear-inspiring batsmen of the tournament. His half-century on Sunday was his fifth of the tournament to go with his unbeaten 128 against Sunrisers at Delhi with three of his half-centuries and his century all coming at home. He finished the tournament atop the run-scoring board with 684 at a strike rate of 173.60 and averaged 52.61 and the 20-year-old should see plenty of international opportunities avail themselves from this summer’s display.

2.Evin Lewis (Mumbai Indians)
Lewis opened with 48 off 31 including three boundaries and four maximums in Sunday’s IPL defeat to the Delhi Daredevils.

Fantasy Analysis

The powerful opener had a very up-and-down tournament, finishing with two half-centuries and six of his 13 innings went for scores of 40-plus. However, he also had five innings where he scored 10 or fewer runs including a pair of ducks. That kind of boom-or-bust approach as an opener helps set the tone for the side, but Lewis, when he gets his eye in, showed he can still be one of the most dangerous opening batsmen, as his two T20I centuries in 14 innings shows.

3.Amit Mishra (Delhi Daredevils)
Mishra toppled three for 19 off four overs in Sunday’s IPL victory over the Mumbai Indians.

Fantasy Analysis

After his best spell of the tournament on Friday, Mishra carried his excellent form into Sunday’s season finale. He bowled 13 of his 24 balls for dots, conceded a single boundary and took his first three-for of the tournament. After taking just seven wickets in his first eight innings, he took five across his last two. While Delhi finished at the bottom of the table, they were only two points back of Mumbai and RCB.

4.Sandeep Lamichhane (Delhi Daredevils)
Lamichhane snapped up three for 36 off four overs in Sunday’s IPL victory over the Mumbai Indians.

Fantasy Analysis

The Nepalese bowler, bowling in just his third official T20 match, was expensive at the start but made up for it with a knack for taking wickets. He conceded a boundary and a maximum in his first three balls, but then got the wicket of Suryakumar Yadav in the first over, setting the tone for the rest of the innings. In the 10th over, he toppled the wickets of Kieron Pollard (thanks to some outstanding fielding work from Glenn Maxwell) and then Krunal Pandya three balls later. An excellent List A bowler, the 17-year-old has an incredibly bright future ahead.

5.Ben Cutting (Mumbai Indians)
Cutting raced to 37 off 20 including two boundaries and three maximums in Sunday’s IPL defeat to the Delhi Daredevils.

Fantasy Analysis

While they faced a reasonable chase of 175, Mumbai’s batsmen just couldn’t settle into the crease, falling to five for 78 midway through the 10th over, leaving tons of runs for the Indians’ tail as a win would’ve earned them a place in the playoff. Needing nothing short of a herculean effort without any set batsmen, Cutting, a bowling allrounder, showed he can score runs in bunches, finding the rope every fourth ball and broke 30 runs in a T20 for just the 12th time in 72 matches.

IPL 2018, CSK v KXIP: Fantasy analysis

1. Suresh Raina (Chennai Super Kings)
Raina top-scored with 61 off 48 not out including four boundaries and two maximums in Sunday’s IPL victory over Kings XI Punjab.

Fantasy Analysis

Struggling for consistency of late-totaling just 17 runs off his last two innings-Raina stayed calm as wickets fell on every side of him to record his fourth half-century of the tournament, with Sunday’s coming off 45 balls, before kicking things into another gear to close out the chase with MS Dhoni by his side, combining for 45 runs on the sixth wicket in just 18 balls.

2.Deepak Chahar (Chennai Super Kings)
Chahar raced to 39 off 20 including one boundary and three maximums with the bat and took one for 30 off four overs with the ball in Sunday’s IPL victory over Kings XI Punjab.

Fantasy Analysis

After a more than two-week absence, Chahar turned in another solid spell with the ball, taking a wicket for the third-straight match, but did his real damage with the bat. While he was a bit wild and the beneficiary of some good fortune, he showed good attacking intent to post his highest batting score by nearly double, having scored 20 not out earlier this year in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. Chahar’s ability to chip in with both bat and ball will be key for the Super Kings’ success in the playoff.

3.Ankit Rajpoot (Kings XI Punjab)
Rajpoot toppled two for 19 off four overs including one maiden in Sunday’s IPL defeat to the Chennai Super Kings.

Fantasy Analysis

Defending just 154, Rajpoot turned in an excellent spell with the ball, bowling 18 of his 24 balls for dots; however, he did concede a pair of boundaries and a maximum. He was at his most impressive when he knocked out Faf du Plessis and then Sam Billings on the next ball. A fifer by Rajpoot in Hyderabad against Sunrisers was surely the high point on a disappointing season for KXIP, but finished the tournament with 11 wickets in eight matches and looks poised for a bright future.

4.Karun Nair (Kings XI Punjab)
Nair top-scored for his side with 54 off 26 including three boundaries and five maximums in Sunday’s IPL defeat to the Chennai Super Kings.

Fantasy Analysis

With wickets falling every side of him, Nair turned on the jets and put KXIP in a position to try to defend their total. He needed just 25 balls to reach his fifty. The half-century was his second of the tournament and in his 12 innings, he often lacked fluency, scoring a total of seven runs across his previous three innings. Nair will captain India A’s four-day squad for their tour of England and will push for a place in the Test squad.

5.Lungi Ngidi (Chennai Super Kings)
Ngidi was named Man of the Match after taking four for 10 off four overs including one maiden in Sunday’s IPL victory over Kings XI Punjab.

Fantasy Analysis

A powerplay Ngidi won’t soon forget as his first over, he took the wicket of Chris Gayle on the second ball and saw just a single bye conceded, good for his first-career IPL maiden and his fifth T20 maiden in 43 innings. By the end of the powerplay, Ngidi conceded just seven runs off his three overs and took the scalps of Gayle and Lokesh Rahul in the process. After KXIP scored 18 runs in the 17th over, Ngidi stepped back into the attack and conceded just three runs while taking the wickets of R Ashwin and Andrew Tye, both for a duck, to secure his third-career T20 four-for and his best-bowled innings. He’s now taken six wickets over his last seven overs while conceding at just 3.43 an over and will be a big part of the attack during the playoffs.

IPL 2018,KKR v RR: Fantasy picks

This match is going to be crucial not only for KKR and RR but also for the other teams that rely on Net Run Rate and the results of the other teams. A loss here will push one of the teams backwards, and the other team will sit pretty on the table. With RCB winning by a big margin yesterday, the tournament is still wide open. Here are my picks for today.

Safe Pick

Jos Buttler
Last match crickingduels fantasy points: 198

The main reason why Rajasthan is winning right now. After being promoted as the opener, the England superstar has scored five consecutive fifties.

Hot pick

Sunil Narine
Last match crickingduels fantasy points: 185

He powered KKR to a thumping win against Punjab the other night. KKR will need similar knocks from the Windies all-rounder to keep them in the hunt.

Tricky Pick

D’Arcy Short
Last match crickingduels fantasy points 6

The Australian’s lacklustre form in IPL continued even in the last match. He consistently struggled against the deliveries that came back in.

The darkhorse

Ben Stokes
Last match crickingduels fantasy points 55

The England all-rounder provided a great bowling display against Mumbai Indians that brought Rajasthan back into the game.

IPL 2018, RCB v KXIP: Fantasy Picks

Royal Challengers Bangalore will still look into the needle-thin possibility to qualify for the playoffs while Punjab needs to win two out of three matches to qualify safely. If Bangalore can win today, they still hold a chance and not only that, a loss for Punjab can brighten the opportunity for Mumbai Indians.

Safe Pick:

AB de Villiers
Last match crickingduels fantasy points: 174

AB de Villiers played a match-winning knock the other night, and Bangalore will be hoping that he continues to perform well.

Hot Pick:

KL Rahul
Last match crickingduels fantasy points: 130

Rahul is in a sublime form in this tournament, and he is going to be crucial going forward.

Tricky Pick:

Chris Gayle
Last match crickingduels fantasy points: 33

The universal boss struggles to the delivery that is close to his body and the bowlers are using this trick to keep him down for the recent matches.

The darkhorse:

Umesh Yadav
Last match crickingduels fantasy points: -1

The seamer’s ability swing the ball both ways is powerful, and no wonder if he can keep both the openers quite at the start.
