IPL 2018, KKR v SRH: Fantasy picks

The final hurdle is here. The team that wins this encounter will travel to Mumbai and will face Chennai Super Kings in the final.

Sunrisers Hyderabad comparatively will have high pressure as they are coming off from four consecutive loss while Kolkata is coming off from consecutive wins and in their last encounter, Kolkata won convincingly. Who will win today?

Safe Pick

Andre Russell
Last match crickingduels fantasy points 119

No wonder why Kolkata retained him for this year’s IPL. One of the contenders for MVP, Russell will look into providing another top-notch performance at Edens.

Rashid Khan
Last match crickingduels fantasy points 100

No batsman in this world has picked up Rashid Khan’s variations. He is the match-winner for the team.

Hot Pick

Dinesh Karthik
Last match crickingduels fantasy points 107

The KKR captain has raised his game to the next level in recent matches. Be it chasing or taking the team to a good total, Karthik has done extraordinarily well.

Tricky Pick

Shakib- Al-Hasan
Last match crickingduels fantasy points: 18

Despite being a regular pick in the team, Hasan is having a poor run in this year’s IPL. With the bat, his strike-rate is lower than it was in the previous years and with the ball he has gone more than ten runs per over.

The darkhorse

Prasidh Krishna
Last match crickingduels fantasy points: 36

The youngster has done well, and now he leads the bowling attack for KKR. He rarely misses his line and length and keeps it straight and simple. Probably, one of the best finds in this year’s IPL.

IPL 2018, RR v RCB: Fantasy picks

This probably is one of the important matches of the tournament as the outcome will affect the points table. With no Buttler and Stokes, Royals is not the same team whereas, the inclusion of Moeen Ali improved RCB’s strength both with the bat and ball. This probably one of the moves Kohli should have done earlier. With bright chance to get into the playoffs, Kohli will be looking to win this match at a good run-rate so that they can get through easily and for Royals, they will be looking out for the same.

Safe Pick:

Y Chahal
Last match crickingduels fantasy points: 46

The batsmen are yet to read his variations, and that is his plus point. He grabs important scalps and cuts the run flow as well.

Hot Pick:

Moeen Ali
Last match crickingduels fantasy points: 166

The England All-rounder has provided the much-needed balance for the Bangalore side. Ali will be one of the most important players for the team as the tournament progress.

Tricky Pick:

Ajinkya Rahane
Last match crickingduels fantasy points: 13

The Royals needs their best man to perform, but just like Rohit Sharma, Rahane couldn’t find the sweet spot yet. Can he find his form at the right time for Royals?

The Darkhorse

Ish Sodhi
Last match crickingduels fantasy points: 51

The Kiwi spinner will play the key role in today’s match as AB de Villiers struggles against Sodhi.

IPL 2018, RCB v KXIP: Fantasy Analysis

1.Parthiv Patel (Royal Challengers Bangalore)
Patel opened with 40 off 22 not out including seven boundaries in Monday’s IPL victory over Kings XI Punjab.

Fantasy Analysis

After starting his tournament with a half-century, Patel scored just 26 runs over his next two matches and had no catches to this point in the tournament. However, after solid work with the gloves to take a pair of catches, Patel and his opening strike partner, Virat Kohli, made short work of the 89 run chase, needing just 49 balls to secure the victory and improve their net run rate up to 0.218 in the process.

2.Virat Kohli (Royal Challengers Bangalore)
Kohli top-scored with 48 off 28 not out including six boundaries and two maximums in Monday’s IPL victory over Kings XI Punjab.

Fantasy Analysis

Chasing down just 89, Kohli and Parthiv Patel made short work of the chase, taking just one ball into the ninth over to finish the deed and improve their net run rate up to 0.218. While his captaincy has been called into question, his batting form hasn’t as he’s now on 514 runs for the tournament, fifth for the orange cap, with four half-centuries at a strike rate of 142.38. They’ll need two strong performances from Kohli to close out the tournament if they are to make the playoff.

3.Umesh Yadav (Royal Challengers Bangalore)
Yadav was named Man of the Match after taking three for 23 off four overs in Monday’s IPL victory over Kings XI Punjab.

Fantasy Analysis

In a match that saw Kings XI get run out three times, Yadav was still the best of the bunch, bowling 16 dot balls and taking the wickets of Lokesh Rahul and Chris Gayle in the fifth over to take control of the match. He finished his day off with the wicket of Andrew Tye as they ended up bowling out KXIP for just 88, completing the victory in just a shade over eight overs with all 10 wickets in hand.

IPL 2018, MI v RR: Fantasy Analysis

1.Jos Buttler (Rajasthan Royals)
Buttler was named Man of the Match after top-scoring with 84 off 53 not out including nine boundaries and five maximums in Sunday’s IPL victory over the Mumbai Indians.

Fantasy Analysis

That’s now five-consecutive half-centuries for Buttler as his form seems to know no bounds. His last three innings have been particularly noteworthy, scoring 271 runs with his last two innings going for 95 unbeaten and 94 unbeaten respectively. After a relatively slow start to the tournament, Buttler’s recent form has taken the Royals from the cellar to within striking distance of the playoff, currently on 12 points (along with KKR and Kings XI), behind on only net run rate.

2.Jofra Archer (Rajasthan Royals)
Archer snapped up two for 16 off four overs in Sunday’s IPL victory over the Mumbai Indians.

Fantasy Analysis

Archer has been a little hit-or-miss at times this tournament; however, on Sunday, he was the best bowler on the pitch by a wide margin. He bowled more than half his balls for dots (14 dot balls in his four overs) and did not concede a single boundary. Despite bowling just seven innings thus far, his 13 wickets puts him tied with Jasprit Bumrah and Rashid Khan for the purple cap.

3.Evin Lewis (Mumbai Indians)
Lewis opened with 60 off 42 including four boundaries and four maximums in Sunday’s IPL defeat to the Rajasthan Royals.

Fantasy Analysis

Slow to get off the mark, eating up dot balls as he looked only for pitches he could drive to the rope, things started slowly for Mumbai as neither he nor Suryakumar Yadav had any interest in trading singles. However, once he found his eye, Lewis dug in and teed off, going from 27 off 21 to adding 16 runs in a single over. The half-century was just his second of the tournament but has scored 40-plus runs five times in 11 innings.

4.Rohit Sharma (Mumbai Indians)
Sharma was beaten for a golden duck in Sunday’s IPL defeat to the Rajasthan Royals.

Fantasy Analysis

A tournament marked by feast or famine continues for Mumbai’s top order batsmen. Sharma’s duck was his third of the tournament, putting him in the undesirable position of being tied atop the leaderboard with Ishan Kishan, his teammate, with Evin Lewis, another Mumbai top-order batsman near the top with a pair of ducks. With a strong net run rate at 0.405 (the highest in the tournament), but on 10 points, they’ll need points over their last two matches to make the playoffs and Sharma’s form will play a big role in that happening.

IPL 2018, CSK v SRH: Fantasy Picks

With Hyderabad already qualified for the playoffs, and Chennai needing only one match to qualify, it is the real best v best. Chennai is a team that bats deep while Hyderabad has the best bowling attack. The much-awaited clash will be the first of two matches today. If CSK loses here, they will be forced to win the next two matches to be at the top two.
Whereas, Hyderabad now has a license to test their bench strength.

Safe Pick:

Shane Watson:
Last Match Crickingduels fantasy points: 79

Watson has given CSK the impressive starts with the bat, important breakthroughs with the ball and has been brilliant in the field as well.

Kane Williamson
Last Match Crickingduels fantasy points: 16

No matter where he plays, no matter against whom he plays, the Kiwi Captain consistently picks up the important runs for the team.

Hot Pick:

Shikhar Dhawan
Last Match Crickingduels fantasy points: 213

The opener got back to his routine stroke-making in the last match, something that will make Hyderabad a balanced side.

Tricky Pick:

DJ Bravo
Last match crickingduels fantasy points: 27

The all-rounder hasn’t been in the best of forms in the past few matches. His lacklustre performance is a concern, especially in the bowling department.

The DarkHorse:

S Thakur:
Last match crickingduels fantasy points: 48

When he bowls and where he bowls is going to make a big difference to the team. Considering the pace and bounce the pitch offers, he is darkhorse of the night.
